TWENTY TIPS FOR CREATIVE TEACHING

How we can make our teaching more creative? As a teacher educator, for many days, I have been searching for the right answer of this question. I confess it is really an important question; as teacher educators, we need to find the right answer. However, the answer should be more constructive and should have a matter-of-fact. Your learners may ask you another question. The question might be how you can manage a large class. These are the two crucial questions, which we have to have the answer. For improving the quality of teaching, it is definitely important to monitor and to consider the situation happening in the classroom. If you have a large class then you might have some difficulties to make all the students to work in-group. Sometimes many teachers ignore to see the unpleasant state of affairs in the classroom arising due to the huge number of the students. In that case, you may follow some tips for making teaching more effective and creative to your students. Because of students' coming in the classroom is for learning. Therefore, you should let your students think independently and creatively. How can you do it? For doing it well just consider the following tips: (1) Allow your students to ask you question. (2) Encourage them to think independently. (3) Divide them into convenient group. (4) Make sure that they work in group. (5) Invite them to present their group work. (6) Relate and cite some examples from real life experiences. (7) Use teaching aids. (8) Always, consider their opinion. (9) Ask them to work individually or in pair. (10) Divide large content into different sub-sections. (11) Prepare a lesson plan. (13) Use HOT (Higher Order Thinking) questions. (14) Use puzzles and games that make students thinking. (15) Ensure friendly-learning environment in the classroom. (16) Consider gender balance teaching. (17) Consider time management. (18) Ensure inclusive education. (19) Interact with all students. (20) Evaluate both your students' learning and your teaching.
For successful teaching, what you need to do? Before teaching, you prepare yourself very well as you can. Remember, successful teaching depends on the successful teacher. If you really want to be a successful teacher, you should consider the following tips: (1) Teacher should always have update knowledge on the subject matter. (2) Prepare yourself for better teaching. (3) Collect teaching aids. (4) Plan your content. (5) Choose the methods and techniques. (6) Select evaluation process. (7) Consider the learners' ability to learn. (8) Present the content effectively and confidently. (9) Review the content if necessary. (10) Close the lesson and session.
For managing a large class, what you can do? If your classroom is not well equipped, but you need to teach in that class, then you may consider the following tips: (1) Use all the spaces available in your class. (2) Before teaching, think and plan about how you can use all facilities. (3) Choose the tasks for students. (4) Give them individual task. (5) Make students to sit face to face. (6) Allow them to work in-group for a specific time. (7) Use audio-visual and technology based teaching aids. (8) Move from student to student, group to group, corner to corner in the classroom. (9) Monitor the whole class. (10) Summarize their findings.
You should remember that the time, allotted for teaching is very important factor. Therefore, you have to plan a plan to use the time in your practice very effectively and tactfully. In all cases, time, as a powerful factor, plays a vital role for successful teaching. However, you should always consider the time when you are on teaching. Of course, you must bring your textbook with you in your classroom. You should never lend the book from your student.
